The product I have appraised is a cushion.
Cushions are commonly made of virgin materials, polyester filling and polyester pressed fabric to contain the stuffing. Each of these ingredients are non-recyclable and are susceptible to damage from heat, abrasion etc.
My suggestion is for people/manufacturers to make cushions and other soft furnishings from waste clothing, items that can't be sold 2nd hand due to damage or disrepair. The clothing can be shredded as is common for garden mulch used to air-rate the soil (not biodegradable) to create filling and used as outer sleeve.
