  • @xthia25 I have read other coomentaries of people who got mad because of Shugden practice but I have met some NKT members and they all practice Dorje Shugden and none of them seem to be physically or psychically ill. They are very kind and are very compassionate, they don't even kill an insect!

  • Divide and conquer. Ponder who has the most to gain from the division, and the truth will be revealed.

  • As a further note, whilst I am a member of the NKT, my teacher actively encourages me to read books by other teachers.

  • I pray that one day all this hatred will be put aside and the schism will end.

  • learn about Buddhism,not Spritism.

  • This sect is completely at odds with the teachings of the buddha.

The Dalai Lama has done the right thing in telling them to go somewhere else.

Their leader appears to be an ego maniac.

  • I have seen myself a friend of mine becoming fanatical, depressed, physically sick etc.... After taking the practice of this gyalpo, I conviced him about the whole ambiguity, he gave up, and began to pray to Padmasambhava. Today mentally, physically he is much better, his practice is improving and the overall wellbeing. I stay to the side of Gyalwa Rinpoche, may he long protect us and stay with us in compassion!

  • om mani padme hun ......we all are bound by ignorance so plz plz research on this spirit deity and i am sure you will know the truth of this evil spirit deity. i really dont want my brothers and sisters getting deceived by this evil spirit....its not only a matter of this life, this evil will lead you to unbearable suffering in your future life as well...... .plz plz spent ur few minutes to research on it.

The state oracle (Nechung Lama) is the principal oracle of the Dalai Lama.

    I´m sure Nechung was consulted.

But Khampas helped him escape. The may have consulted the DS oracle.

  • @nashster1

The Dalai Lama gave up this practice officially in the 1970´s when Trijang Rinpoche was still alive.

The split in Gelug school was 1996. The majority of the Gelug lamas were non-sectarans and opposed to this practice. The sectarians (a minority) formed their own groups .There was no general ban. The practice in Gelug monasteries stopped completely as recently as 2007 (2008?).

No, Geshe Kelsang was not the only one who questioned the Dalai Lama (as I´m sure you know).

  • @Varavaken The DL went to a Dorje Shugden oracle to find a safe passage from Tibet, his teacher and Geshe-la's Trijang Rimpoche was also a Dorje practitioner, it wasn't until after Trijang died that the DL started victimising DS practitioners. I have spoken to Tibetans who have been in tears because they didn't want to go against the DL but they also felt they couldn't go against their own spiritual guides. These Tibetans asked Geshe-la for help and he was the only one who questioned the DL.

He IS a cult leader. And you are a DS promoter.

NKT is Shugdenism adapted to Westerners. They call it "Modern Buddhism".

This monk, Geshe Kelsang, says about the Dalai Lama that he´s useless, that he has accomplished nothing .And according to him Tibetan Buddhism is "degenerated".

He´appears humble but he´s hateful and arrogant.

  • Geshe Kelsang is right in saying there's nothing wrong in seeing your Teacher as Buddha., He also mentions that one must have a pure mind to see the Teacher in this way. However, it's problematic when the student does NOT have a pure mind and is simply blindly and fanatically following someone in this way. This documentary seems like a bit of a hatchet piece, by depending on the average Westerner's ignorance of Buddhist customs and beliefs, making Gyatso seem like an insidious cult leader.
