A little duet by my Scottish friend & me, before she went back to Scotland. I was lucky enough to sing with her and take some voice lessons from her husband, a very talented teacher & very fine singer himself. He took on the challenge of someone like me, an older adult, basically a non-singer, at the bottom of the singers' totem pole, and helped me to get out some decent sounds.
The Virgin Slumber Song
(English words by Edward Teschemacher;
Music by Max Reger)
Amid the roses Mary sits and rocks her Jesus child,
While amid the tree tops, sighs a breeze so warm and mild.
Now soft and sweetly, sings a bird upon the bough
Aaahh baby, dear one, slumber now.
Happy is thy laughter,
Holy is thy silent rest
Lay thy head in slumber,
Fondly on thy mother's breast
aaahh baby dear one, slumber now
@CrowsFlight Thank you very much - so kind of you. This was done a few years back, and since then I've learned a lot more about recording and would do it a bit differently, for sure. Not so bad for older technology, though. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it. 8o)

wow. this is really, really nice. o-o
maybe try and make the vocals a little louder though, next time? They're almost overpowered by the music.
but besides that -- totally beautiful.
