The RAF Nimrod is still in service which is basically a Comet, used as search and rescue and submarine hunting. Its age is showing a lot, it is always having problems and a few accidents in recent years and there's only ever a few actually flying at any one time due to needing to borrow parts from the other Nimrods! Most are based at RAF Kinloss in NE Scotland.
