@RDBeatnik I do find this a good ending but, a very unbelievable one as well. I do not believe that a father would kill his own son during these hard times, especially when family was all you had left.

If you're reffering to riots in Warsaw in 11.11 It was a goverment provocation with small groups, but tv showed it like it was a war or sth. Have you ever been in Poland? This is how the film should end: It's a few years after 1939 and the Germans are closing in on the apartment.
