@axebattler1 yeh ive noticed alot of "past prime" boxers going to ufc... cotto, mayorga, toney, holifield... its all about money and they know they gonna get paid big. i heard toney was the highest paid in their history? if thats true then thats just incredable.

Toney embarresing himself is one thing. At a time when there is a huge debate over boxing vs MMA and he completely flops in his fight. He atleast owed it to his livleyhood of boxing to perform better. who knows what great pro boxers may have took this sport seriously and cross trained into MMA. Thanks to Toney thats never going to happen. I felt an overwhelming sense of pity when I saw his lousy loss, He was fighting in the UFC and he didnt even know to signal to the referee to tap out. DISGRACE

the sad thing is MMA fans don't realize toney is playing them. he is old as dirt. he has'nt been in his boxing prime in over a decade. basically he can't cut it anymore at the top of the sport. so how can he keep making money? by trading on his name, big mouth and past boxing career. toney is not the 1st washed up boxer who turns to mma once his boxing career is over. in a sense mma is the last stop on the road to the old age home.like when joe lewis turned into a pro wrestler in his old age.
