The Range Tent (Cowboy Teepee) is a historical tent that can be seen in many accounts of car camping or ranch camping. When ever there is a chuck wagon involved there is usually a Range Tent close by. It is a simple pyramid that is held up with one interior pole or from the outside using an A-frame, this way the interior will be free from a pole support. Four stakes hold it to the ground and set up is a snap. If these stakes stay in the ground the wind can't blow it down. In fact, Arctic expeditions always used the pyramid tent for this reason.

I make three sizes: 8' square x 7' tall, 10' square x 8' tall, and 12' square x 9' tall. There is a lot of options that can be added with this style of tent. Please visit cowboycamp.net to see them all.

  • Put asbestos on the floor? What is this the 50's. Now days if you were to find asbestos in there you would need a licensed asbestos crew to clean it up.

  • but it gives me some idea's on the use of a regular tarp for a teepee.

  • man i would hate to carry that on my back

  • @ikonik69 what the fuck? lol

  • @hillikt my dear friend no harsh feeling here all love and all gangsta. My gun is as good as me. If I'm not ready with my gun than my gun is not ready for me. 30 to 60 second/minute is not bad to come back to your awareness/consciousness after a whole bottle of wild turkey and some phat blonde blue eyes busty pussy.Come on bro you know the deal

  • @ikonik69

Not to be mean, but if you carry a gun...there is NO reason it should take you 30-60 seconds to be ready to use it.

  • 3: 22 Asbestos ?

  • I wanna know if that tent can survive snow storm and wind storm. I would also like to know the durability of the canvas material can it hold a bear or cougar attack for 30 sec to a minute giving you time to come out of your sleep and getting to your gun

  • is the stove hole standard in the 12x12 tent and dose it close when not in use ( stove hole)

  • that is in-tents
