Viva Waitakere Festival

On the 31-10-2010, Westies came together to enjoy a final day of fun and laughter and entertainment,
This was the last day of Waitakere City, as from the 1-11- 2010 we are a part of Auckland super city. Starting in the afternoon Sunday, local community organizations held stalls and promoted their good work being done, throughout the afternoon and late into the night the crowds enjoyed the various bands, and some very cool music groups, children had face painting done and families sat in the park to have picnics. Penny Hulst, the very popular deputy mayor of Auckland opened the event,
