A brahmana is a Vedic priest, scholar and teacher - a living guardian of Vedic culture. As Sri Dharma Pravartaka Acharya explains in this astoundingly deep and informative talk, a real brahmana is to be known by his or her inherent qualities of goodness, wisdom, cleanliness, discipline, natural spirituality, peacefulness, knowledge of the Vedic scriptures, humility, and absolute adherence to Dharma. More, a real brahmana is one who knows Brahman - God. Thus, brahmana initiation is open to any man or woman who knows and is dedicated to Brahman - regardless of their ethnicity, race, language, nationality, or any other material factor. There is no such thing anywhere in the Vedic scriptures as a "caste" brahmana. One is not guaranteed to be a brahmana merely because one's parents were brahmanas. One must earn the status and title of brahmana!

Sri Acharyaji conclusively explains the nature of a real brahmana with more depth, authority and clarity than has ever been presented by anyone else before.

  • Yeah ! Thank god true meaning is explained in a beautiful and concrete manner. Thankful to you for such depth of explanation. How come silly NRIs were upset just because TulasiDevi has UpavitaSutra, this is not good. They should not have this kind of stupid politics in spiritual path.

  • love it!

  • Thanks for an enlightened talk on brahmana culture. Part of the reason I suffered in life was due to the 'father like son' polluted culture. My father is an ignorant agnostic materialist, & I am very much inclined towards transcendental topics & dharma. This creates friction, so it's best to practice away from such poisonous influences. Until we become strong enough in character & Vedic knowledge, we can teach with conviction & help cure this sick society.

    Jaya Govinda!!!

  • Sri Acharyaji, you've explained the difference between caste vs. real brahmanas better than anything I have ever heard. The depths of your knowledge is astounding. You are a truly self-realized sage, and you have our full support in your teaching mission.

  • Brilliant sharing of knowledge of the brahman
