Here is my home theater setup which is a work in progress. Powered by an Athlon 64 PC with Windows MCE and the My Movies add-on. DVD's are played over the network right from my file server. This means my discs only get taken out of the cases once to be loaded to the server, and they stay scratch free forever. My server is Linux based, running NASLite 2.05. Old Barco Graphics 800 Projector, Cerwin Vega LS-12, LS-5, and LS-6C speakers. Sony STR-DE545 receiver. Homemade 122" 16x9 screen that is still not finished, like the rest of the room. Someday maybe...

  • Which connection do You use? I have the same projektor, and tried S-video input with computer and DVD-player as well, but it did not work. "No source available..." On TV works it just fine. Any idea? Thanx in advance.

  • Did you select the S-video input using the remote? I think composite video is 1, and S-video is 2.

  • what s the name of that software that you use for the video Library

  • It's called My Movies. It is still available, even for Windows 7. You can find it with Google.

  • Are you watching in full HD? Instead of watching DVD's you should upgrade to blu-ray

  • I plan to when I rebuild my HT. Right now it is not in use due to water damage.

My projector runs at 720P or 1080i, depending on what I'm watching. It was built in 1990, so too old for 1080P.

  • Amazing!

  • Thumbs up for playing cod on that screen :D

  • so if i want a libary of my movies for my home theater i just get my movies and when there copyied where do they save too and how do i play it back on my tv or projector

  • Yes, I did. According to the installations manual S-video is 2.

Perhaps there is something wrong with the S-video input... I will try to connect a VHS through composite, just to see that the projektor still works...

  • Thnx!!!

  • Oh ok. I hope everything goes well for your project
