After 3 months of trouble free service my Panasonic Viera Plasma TV has developed a strange problem with its display. The left half of the screen is now completely dark and the right half is faded and fuzzy with vertical bands running through the picture and a slow vertical roll. This happens regardless of what input I select (internal tuner, cable box, DVD, video game) and doesn't seem to affect the composite output coming out of the back of the television which seems to look fine on an external monitor. Seems to be a screen issue. Anyone else experience picture problems with a Panasonic Viera plasma? I've got a technician coming out next week to take a look but just wondering if anyone else has had similar issues.

I replaced my C2 board and my plasma seems to work properly now, I have not turned the television off for about twelve hours. I'm going to leave it turned on for three days and then I'll be satisfied with the repair.

Quite by mistake, and just before I pitched my two year old Panasonic Viera for the same problem pictured here, I found out the super video cable was causing the problem. I was preparing to take it to the landfill. I brushed against the rear cables while my wife was watching and she saw the picture go. I wiggled every cable until I found the culprit. Don't need it, disconnected it, nice Viera! The cable was installed by Direct TV.
