As if. Things are that bad in Zim that they are eating rats. I have family that still live there and yes people are eating rats. Latest news in Dec was that you could buy puppies from street vendors for food! Times are that bad. Wake up. Enjoy your cozy life in USA where you want for nothing. Enough is enough. Things are bad back home but some tribes in zimbabwe find mice(not rats) as a delicacy.The same way the chinese eat dogs, snakes, or americans eat frogs , crabs and human flesh,or Kenyans drink raw blood from a live animal. Things are bad , but people in some parts of Zimbabwe don`t eat mice because of that. I live in the US but when i go home ,I'm looking foward to munching on my ethnic rare dilicacy, same way white people eat each others asshole as a sign of affection.

That clip is FACTUALLY incorrect and very misleading. There are not eating rats, but mice and they are not doing it out of desperation. Like many cultures around the world mice are actually a delicacy to the Karanga tribe. Very bad spin and terrible reporting.

I don't believe many of the comments. So many are racist.

The point is that Mugabe has ruined the economy, and 20 percent of Zimbabweans now have fled to South Africa. The hunger there is due to government policies, and made worse by the drought.

As for mice, they are eaten, usually by kids or travelers not as a regular part of the diet. It would be like Dog stew here in the Philippines, or "bush meat" in the Congo (i.e. monkeys). The rich eat it as a delicacy and the poor from desperation.
