Balboa High School (SF) JROTC Girls Drill Team competing at the 1987 91st Division Competition held at The Presidio, San Francisco, where they won 1st Place. This footage includes the winning announcement. **NOTE: This was the year when the ENTIRE team decided to accept the award.

  • This is great but peep that OLD a** MUNI bus @ 2:24!! Bal was the power house in everything back in the 80's.

  • San Francisco has had "unarmed exhibition" style girls drill team as far back as the 70's. was extremely popular and competitive in the 80's.

  • Wow I didn't even think there was unarmed exhibition back then. Good to know! I love the big old schoo bus that passes by in the background lol.

  • yeah, the change in singing style started surfacing in the early-mid 90's. back in the 80's, it was about being LOUD, more cheerleader. today, its deep (sometimes tooo deep if u ask me.) alot has changed...

  • This was before the deep voices for GDT became popular right? They sound like chipmunks...good drill
