You NEED to be stock! Here is a link to a stock tar,

You need SWUprade to flash your phone, here is a link,

Once you install that, it will AUTOMATICALLY place a M900 tar in the samsung electronics, models, binary folder. Delete that tar and anything else in it and then put the recovery.tar in that folder and run swupgrade. If you do not delete that M900 tar, you WILL brick your phone.

I am NOT responsible for anyone bricking their phones! Rooting your phone voids your warranty, and you are doing this at your own risk. Follow directions! GET RID OF THE M900 TAR THAT THE CL14 PROGRAM WILL AUTOMATICALLY PUT IN THE BINARY FOLDER. If you unzip anything, have more than one file in the binary folder, OR if you flash a tar meant for another phone (on your samsung transform), YOU WILL BRICK YOUR PHONE.

comments require approval like normal. It's not to remove or not approve comments, but lately i have been getting a LOT of them! So Josh here's my dilemma... I just bought a Sprint Transform flashed to Boost, I desperately want to root it and maybe flash custom rom also, but, I am concerned as to if the steps you are using i.e. flash stock tar to phone will undo my flash to Boost and render my phone useless to me. If there is something extra I need to do I would be very grateful if you could guide me in this as I already have a Galaxy Prevail hard bricked paperweight. (clockworkmod)

@gr8chickenmonkey um, I'm not sure. I ReALLY don't think it would mess up that stuff, but I really don't know either. It might erase it and make it a sprint radio, but then you'd be able to flash it back. but if you flash it back, you might lose root. i don't know. this is not a legal topic to cover, so i've never had a single thought about doing such a thing. I may or may not have done such a thing in the past, but I'm not going to incriminate myself.

When i went to recovery and then to file browser and then to systems, their was nothing their. Did i do something wrong?

Hi Joshdew, I have an epic and my sis has the transform. I have rooted my epic and played with many roms. I want to help my sis out by rooting her phone and getting a good rom on it. Any suggestions. One that is good for everyday use. Speed and battery. Thank you.

@jamaltjay93 you install an app called "Flash Image GUI" (you can pay a dollar from the Android market, or you can download it for free from sdx) and you install it using the app!
