  • Recently I thought it would be really tasty to make risotto with coconut milk [& kidney beans and stock]. It sounded like a great combination! But somehow the rice swallowed the coconutiness even though I put lots in and I essentially ended up with gruel that had kidney beans in it!

  • You should do some stir-fry recipes! :D both vegan and vegetarian, maybe involving water chestnuts and broccoli? I'm running out of ideas for sauces to use and I'm trying to find/make lower fat/caloric sauces

  • @pandapandax I actually do an obscene amount of asian-style cooking. Good idea, for sure.

  • @sepiasunrise Add the coconut milk at the end with some regiano or parmesan cheese.

    As for the kidney beans.. I'm not too sure, I would imagine it would turn to paste

    congrats for experimenting though :)

  • God I've had some crazy moments when hungry. Like the potato gnocchi with cheese and other unsavory ingredients in my cupboard. It sounded so good! It so was not!

    I've still got to email you that Creme Brulee recipe!

  • The only 'disaster' I can remember is that last week I tried to do stuffed peppers, but I got impatient and pulled it out of the oven before it was soft enough for the skin to be removed. Would have tasted much better if I could have pulled the skin.
