@Hatorah ! SORRY! i did /do not intend to shake your religious beliefs !! just wanted to emphasize that "Inquisition" was a blot on humanity!!!! Regarding the crusades i cannot say so ,rather i would attribute it as an act of self-defense!!!

It's more appropriate to call it the "Catholic Inquisition" because it was an orchestrated campaign carried out over hundreds of years by the Catholic Church and it's political theocracies---and it was throughout Europe, not just Spain.

@Hatorah Why do you believe this?---I mean, how do you really know? How do you know you aren't under some sort of misapprehension? It's always fascinated me why people believe things that are inconsistent with the reality we all experience.

For me, EVIDENCE is the only means to reliable knowledge. FAITH is the permission we give ourselves to believe things without evidence. Faith only takes you on a merry-go-round of imagination and wishful thinking. My only god is reason.

@Hatorah "Yeshua"?---not Jesus? That's Jewish terminology---Yahweh as well. 'Jews for Jesus' was a movement I remember long ago until they ended up calling themselves Christians.

Regardless, my built in B.S. detector functions well. It's very good at sniffing out fact from fiction and biblical scripture bares all the primitive characteristics of the time and place it came from. It is obviously a fabrication of men and no more the word of "god" than Harry Potter.

@socksumi : Bible banger? Neither do I condemn you. My Faith is not built on persuasive ideologies, but by "seek & U shall find, knock, the door shall be opened, ask & U shall find". Faith is not a forceful thing, it's not a religion but a relation with GOD thru YESHUA, not the blue-eyed Catholic guy with long blond wavy hair. An encounter with Y'SHUA changes a person forever. @zugzwangist : My ancestors fled Spain because of Inquisition..then forced into Catholic, fled into Southern France, forced to convert. OF COURSE those Catholics are in HELL! I was raised to believe Jews killed Jesus, only Catholics went to Heaven then one day I read the history of the Church! Through this I've had personal encounters NOT with the Catholic blue-eyed Jesus....but the Jewish Messiah YESHUA-Not same person. Catholic/Islam built on slaughter & are rightfully ALL in HELL :) Dog Day.
