  • Basic? Hardly

  • I only met Victor once in the early 90's - it was at a jam session in NYC at at "Mondo Cane" - he was so cool and generous, I wish I could play music with him some day!

  • From a promoter's point of view, I found Victor Bailey to be excellent to work with, and then he gave us a phenomenal show. Not that I really care about anything but that last part, but it helps when they're decent people as well. Just sayin'

  • I took a bass lesson at his house when he lived in LA about 2002.

  • I feel you...I think Vic is a great player - but he seems a bit "basic" as a person if you catch my drift?

  • Mr Bailey is a Gifted player. but is jerk of a person i have spoke with him many times and he is not a nice man. Victor god gave us this gift to play bass he can also take it away..

  • i remember the jamaladeen tacuma article when victor said he couldnt play jazz .. vic was sort of right but ... i saw jamal later in 1999 ?? at the jazz cafe in london with james carter and jamal played some very nice straight ahead 4/4 swing bass , so there you go .... i always was a fan of jamaladeen tacuma and al mc dowell . i saw ornette with 3 bass players , mc dowell and charnet moffett on bowed electric double bass with wha and tony falanga .... awesome gig !!!! mike .

  • Looking forward to seeing him and the band this Saturday night (9/26) in Jim Thorpe. He's got some phenomenal talent with him...

  • Hey. The second piece is sweet too. You fill the spectrum.

From rivalry to kinship. But beautiful.

  • Victor, your voice sounds good too.

I love what you've done to this piece.
