  •  what an enigma Ives is.Athletic macho guy who was a great salesman. This is what Beethoven's mania became in America! Ives was diff around music. How did he do it. the man was from a grand family .Sad that he didn't hear any of the big pieces.1954.He lived long through two world Wars.His Bio is my next big thing. Tilson is as handsome &charming as Lenny Bernstein was. Lucky generation this!
