In the wake of an apocalyptic viral outbreak, Charlie Russell treks through the wilderness to reunite with his girlfriend, Samantha. As Charlie's journey brings him closer to his destination of Wausau, WI, he must face physical exhaustion, malicious survivors, and perhaps most menacing, his own emotional burdens. With his newfound traveling companions, Charlie must attempt to overcome his obsession with the past. He must learn to let it go.

[ivXtreme]

This is the most emotionally gripping zombie movie I have ever seen. It creates a world where everything is falling apart, especially the humanity in us. It concentrates on that and not on a gore fest like other zombie movies. A sense of impending doom is throughout every scene. I will say this: This is better than 28 days later in that it stays focused on the characters and doesn't turn into a gore fest at the end. Thank you so much for this movie!!! A must buy.

I saw this last weekend at Nevermore in Durham. By far, my favorite movie of the festival. An intense, original story with an appealing cast of characters. Highly recommended!

This movie is a cheap rip off of the movie The Road based on the same book. If you find this good, then go watch The Road since it is 10x better.
