  • I don't understand why the "Big Lick" has not been banned altogether. The laws are not harsh enough and trainers use horrible methods to hide the abuse. I hear some trainers, do practice inspections, and teach the horse not to react to the pain in its feet by beating it with a bat if it reacts to being touched. The TWH is getting a bad name from people who do this.

  • CRUELTY

  • So...you think that the people to don't sore their horse shouldn't be able to show, because of what a minority of trainers do with their horses? Yes, I agree with you that soring is cruel and the trainers to do it shouldn't be allowed to own horses...but not every trainer who uses pads sore their horses...in fact, some of those trainers who do sore only show non-padded horses. Should those of us who show lite shod not be able to bacause of these trainers?

  • How about RIDING?

  • @ayymkatee you are exactly right it is completly CRUEL!

  • @dasheh dont worry, ive already fond royalty free clips to use as a bad clip in my video, but I need a good horse that I can use in a good viewpoint, I wouldnt use someones clips to get bad views about them

  • According to the USDA there were 89 unilateral sore, 36 bilateral sore, 223 scar rule, 1 shoeing, pads, action device, 31 foreign substance, and 25 other violations not including the 39 horses that were sent back to the barn for thermography evaluation. This equals 444 horses. Only 26 technical violations. This is outrageous.

  • That is a lie. The listing of the USDA violations for the 2009 celebration will not be out for at least another month. They will be posting the violations on there web site. This is straight from the horses mouth. The only one that is painting another picture is you because you are attempting the minimize the abuse. The chains are bad enough let alone to heavy of a chain which are just calling a technical violation.
