I Love this Distro because it is great for older computers, it breaths new life into them & it is so small that it runs in memory atleast while I am using the live cd. I just love Puppy Linux. The network connection configuration tool works better to me then the major distro's. People do not throw out your old pc's, just install puppy linux on it & you will feel like you are working on a 3GHZ intel duo.I know that is hard to believe, but just try it. You will be surprised how fast it is.Enjoy!

It really is EXTRAORDINARILY good!
I use Ubuntu and just discovered Puppy. I'm mesmerised by it's performance.
Alright now, indeed!

song sounds great? Is that a re-mix or something?
-
why are people complaining about the song? It's freaking music, if you are watching a linux video, chances are you are smart enough to appreciate the art of music, you dumbasses.

@MeshugenahScientist Haha wow! 2 years really. Interesting time to back to me. Indeed I quite forgot! I find puppy 4 works pretty damn well though I really have no use for it now. The main one I think is based on Ubuntu, so it has compatibility with Debian packages.

Too late!!
You wrote that two years ago, and you didn't get back as promise.
It's too late mate, because the Puppy is now a Dog.
-
That's nothing mate! I've got PuppyLinux running on a machine that's so old, it's actually called a "Difference Machine".
And while I can't claim that it runs "floor-lessly", I CAN say that it runs ceiling-lessly. With PuppyLinux, the SKY is the limit, not the ceiling.

I wonder why the default Puppy wallpaper is a Buffalo?

@DAREDEVILS32 Its not a buffalo, its a gnu for obvious reasons.

I'm thinking about getting this to put on a flash drive for school use, should I? Can I just plug in the usb and unplug when done? I dont really wanna fuck up the computers

@sumofl Yeah, live CDs/USB don't touch the HDD. Your school PCs will be completely unaffected.
