We met a guy at Pacific Raceways who had taken a precision maneuvering course. The curriculum was designed and taught by motor officers. Check out how this rider carves an incredibly tight corner on his nearly 1/2 ton motorcycle.

  • In my serious opinion all bikes are good , it depend for what purpose you need them for.

  • That'sssss very cool,thanksssss.

  • I am wondering how fast you were going

  • @StreetGlideBad103 WOW, that sucks. I guess that puts a limit on buying a victory then. lol. I do the work on my GL1800 and it's really not that bad, but not getting any help from a dealer even for a flat tire, I'm not sure that they would be worth my business. I hope to ride through Wyoming again sometime It's beautiful up there. :)

  • @pcfix33 I live in Wyoming and we are a long way from dealers. We have a Honda dealer and a Harley dealer in the next town, every other dealer is over 2 hours away. So when buying a bike here you have to think what do I do if it breaks. I have a friend that has a Victory and it is great but in the last two summers he has had flat tires on the road. Not a fault of the bike, but none of the dealers would come get him or change the tire he was on his own.

  • Oh, and the GL1800 can do the 1/4 mile in the mid 12s stock. I don't know about the HD touring bike or the victory though. I know the GL1800 is fast for the weight and size. One of my friends had a HD and we always joke that he would beat me off the line, but I would more than pass his top end speed.

  • @StreetGlideBad103 I do agree that it sucks that the wing is back in japan. My bike was made before that happened so it's not too bad. The new ones are nice, but you won't see me on one any time soon. As for victory or HD, I would buy a HD as a second bike just to ride around town, I might consider replacing my wing with a victory if I lost her. They are all nice bikes though.

  • No stock Harley has ever been competition for the wing. No stock Harley can touch the GL1800. Period. I have owned Harley's to of the line Anniversary Ultra Classic (105th) and it's crap.

  • any hoggie who thinks their stock harley bike can touch a gl1800 wing is more than welcome to contact me. I'll run for pinks. Put or shut up time. BTW, I had a 2008 105th Anniv Ultra Classic so I know what I am talking about. I also run wicked low times at deals gap so you there talkin' smack about parking lots vs mountains, well you can bring it on too.

  • @pcfix33 Glad you voice your educated opinion. The Victory and the Harley are the only two I would look at now. When the Wing was built in Ohio I still would buy it. But now that they are made in Japan and there is no cost effective way to customize one, I would not consider the Wing. I know they are a nice bike but I still try to kepp my Union brothers working.
