SHINE ON ME

I wrote this while spending a few blissful days in the mountains last week. One morning we got up early to watch the sunrise, and so the pictures you see are the pictures I took of the sunrise and the surrounding beauty.

Looking on, at the horizon, the darkness is fleeing,
And the dew droplets form on blades of grass bowing low,
And the dawn is growing, filling my soul.

I've been waiting so long for the sunrise to crest on the hill bringing glory and warmth,
I've been keeping my eyes to the east where the sun will rise and shine on me, rise and shine on me....

A breeze is stirring, gives me a chill,

Hmmm, tips... well, start with a feeling, what's something in your heart you want to express? go from there, and try to put the feeling into words. Sometimes I start with the music, and let the chords tell me their mood, and pull that mood from my heart... sometimes I write my words first and find the music that fits... hope that helps.. if you have any more questions, let me know :)
