Vorfahre des ICE. Schneller Triebwagenzug

Der Schnell Verbrennungs Triebwagen (SVT) war für Fernreisen konzipiert. Er wurde in den Jahren 1935 bis 1936 in 13 Garnituren gebaut und konnte schon damals eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 160 km/h erreichen. Er war wegweisend für das Konzept schneller Städteverbindungen durch Triebzüge (bis zum ICE heute), und wurde zuerst von und nach Berlin eingesetzt.
