@Creationcreed It all depends on which scientologists you debate because most of them can't debate on subjects they haven't learned yet in there church, Example you bring up aliens in the debate they wont even know what your talking about because they haven't reached that level in there doctrine to them aliens aren't part of there doctrine its just a past life experience of LRH they learn in the upper levels of there church. But basically your right but good luck trying to get one to debate you.

@Acerrak relationship to the Church, which is female. In the Letter to the Ephesians, St. Paul compares the husband to Jesus and the wife to the Church. Just as one is father to ones family, so also is the Priest father to a single community, and the Pope the "father" of the whole Church. The Pope, then, is biblical. As to 1050, the split was caused by whether the head of the Church was to be at Rome or Constantinople, not over having of Pope or of which the Orthodox call a Patriarch.

The Pharisees took the the Scriptures literally in that if it wasn't in the Scriptures they didn't do it and outlawed anything which might give rise toslightest occassion to sin. And yet Jesus many times, especially in the Sermon on the Mount, pointed out that it wasn't just the letter of the Law that mattered, but the spirit of the law as well.
