I wish we could go back to the 40s and 50s, but I'm seeing it from my side. It was so sweet! I agree with @tdiez810 that it was not as good for African American's, but it was an innocent time in lots of ways. I would have been there for you too @tdiez810, maybe we could have changed things, so it was for you like it was Dean and Jerry, lol.....I can dream, can't I?

@tdiez810 I LOVE Italians! I love Italian women and culture. The doctor that pulled me out of my mothers womb was Italian (according to ma). I love this song. As for the 40's and 50's being the best decade we may ever know? Hmmm. Depends. I'm African American. I doubt things would have been the same for me as they were for Dean and Jerry. More like it was for Sammy Davis Jr or worse. I would have had good friends that stood up for me the best they could, like Frank Sinatra.
