Gerhard Gruber performed for the silent movie "Moon of Israel" (Austria 1924) at the Los Angeles Jewish Film Festival 2012/ Saban Theatre. Invited by director Hilary Helstein, the movie was presented by actor Ed Lauter ("The Artist"). "Moon of Israel" (Die Sklavenkoenigin) was directed by Michael Kertesz, the later Michael Curtiz ("Casablanca").
