Here's the config of my PC:
Athlon XP 3000+, 1.5GB RAM, VGA X1650PRO AGP 512MB DDR2, MoBo EpoX 8RDA3I Nforce2 Ultra 400
It may run this great game in 1024x768 with most options in High quality with 30-50 FPS. For sure this game is one of the best simulators ever.

I don't own a PC but I intend to buy a laptop with sufficient features and similar processing power as a current day PC. So, can I still play this game on a laptop?

d13600..yep it will run but wiv low resolution..at 1024 x 768 u may have some little problem

yes but not verry well as a 3Gb Ram, 4Gb CPU + a X1950PRO would be strong enough, when looking into Graphic Cards always check the "Memory Bandwidth GB/SEC" to find the strength of the card my HD2900XT dose 107Gb/Sec :DDD
