The ab wheel. I got my ab wheel back when I was in high school... A long time ago! It is the one piece of equipment that got me my six pack... It is also a great total body workout... Go Buy One!

  • Thanks mate ..and i ve got a question for you ... how many laps would you suggest a beginner should do..

  • Hey Sorry for taking so long to respond... when I started out I only did 25 reps of forward and back... I think worked up to 75 then 100. After that I just do it for 3 minutes straight.

Just becarefull because since you are new to it, your lower back will hurt a little. Just take it easy and listen to your body.

  • Damn 6 dollars... wow yeah you can say I got ripped off I guess. I did see this one that was on a site (I forgot what site is was unfortunately) but it had foot straps too so you can do leg extensions on it...

    Thanks for the comment.

  • BTW, for someone who is just starting, do NOT roll all the way out. Start small, and as your arms, ab, and back get stronger that is when you roll further to increase the difficulty. Use your ab to pull for best result and try not to overly rely on your arms or back.

Rolling too far out than your fitness level can handle defeat the point of the exercise and can result in injury. Moderation is key, but once you master it, you can almost form a straight line with your body, and still return.

  • This is a very cheap but awesome exercise for the entire upper body, but it target the ab really well and doesn't strain your back much. I got a lean looking and strong 6 pack ab with combination of cardio with the wheel. I keep one around the house and often end up rolling on it when I have free time.

It generally only cost under 10 dollars in the U.S. but they do just fine as the design is simple. Do NOT buy ones that assists you like on the shopping channel. Even making your own works.

  • @JRCKFSH Well that's great that you have the best ab workout in the world, only takes 5 minutes and yet you don't say what it is. Smells like bullshit. Have you ever used the ab roller for a month or two? I certainly doubt it, but it's possible. You might have quit because it's hard and works. There is no magic way to a perfect body, it takes sweat soreness pain and a lot of time. Why yes, I would like to work my shoulders while working abs. What muscles do you think push ups work? Seriously man

  • how longs the sorness suppose to be!? My guts been in pain for 2 days already!!! I did it for the 1st time 15 mins the at night for 10 mins my gut feels like it wants to rip open inside!

  • na dude it works out your back as well if it wasn't good for you they wouldn't have it available for you to use at the ymca or any other gym

  • That is terrible workout for abs. This puts a strain on places you don't want to strain.

Of all the ways to work abs , this one sucks.

You admit it hurts your lower back. Not to mention your shoulders. You really think you want to put that much strain on your shoulders working your ABS?

I got an ab workout that gives incredible results. It's Easy and it takes 5 minutes every other day.

What you want to do is use THE most precise exercises that work your abs the hardest.

  • hah, when i use mine ab wheel, then ime allways scared that it will go apart :P

  • 5 below baby xD

  • $10 at play it again sports for me, thanks for the demo

  • His arms are lean.
