  • Thank you for posting this! I studied with John Stubblefield. My playing improved by 300 percent based on what he taught me. I look at his picture and get inspired whenever I go to Michiko on W 46th St.

  • John... my brother in law... wish you had spent more time here... You last concert in Zürich...rememeber Louisa (6) dancing in front of you... her uncle... and Sue smiling from the side... t'was a heck of a night.... and you gave your all, like you were there for only Louisa... We will never forget you, nor the good times... You are in heaven now, but I miss you big guy... so does Louisa... Sandy & my Children...

  • John moved me with his "Big Girls' solo on Kenny Barron's CD. I heard from so many of his friends since his passing, it is a testament to how he was loved and how he loved.

  • Thank you!

  • John Stubblefield put out some of the best CDs of the era under his own name. They were well composed, well thought out, and his playing and composing were always trandescental. It would be worth anyone's effort to try and find these Cds on the net. John Stubblefield was one of the greats!!

  • Wie immer: vielen Dank!

  • Another great one. Ty.

  • thanks!!!!!!
