The Little Boy MACHINE
by Aaron Kramer
In the shadow of the Eiffel tower napped an old toy maker at his bench. He dreamed that his puppets danced to life. The ballerina he made was as elegant as a swan. Her arms and legs fluttered like leaves in a breeze. At the end of her performance she curtsied and sank to the bench. All was still and the old man was alone again. The next morning he woke with an idea. "What if I made a little boy machine. Then I would have somebody to share my life with. A family." So he set to work. He began by carving a single arm from a piece of wood. Next he gave him a shoulder an elbow and a wrist. The little boy had a nice round head and body made from an old sock darning egg. His two deep yellow cat eyes and his long blue nose made the puppet maker laugh. He had only given him one arm because he was busy carving his perfect green heart which he placed on his chest. Now everyone could see the love that he contained. Then the puppet maker began drawing the complex machine that would bring his boy to life. With metal and fire he made a machine so intricate that it just had to be alive. When he finished he turned the handle. The crankshaft engaged the linkages which sparked his little hand to life. His outstretched finger pointed at his own head. An as the gears whirred he traced a circle around his ear and smiled a silly smile. The toy maker's smile faded into a frown. He put his hands over his eyes and felt that even his own creation thought he was crazy. He covered the little boy machine and laid his head down on his bench as the sun set behind the Eiffel tower. Suddenly the sheet began to stir. He pulled it back and stared in amazement as the little boy machine pointed at his head then shoulder, knees and toes. Again he pointed at his "head" and "shoulders", "knees" and "toes". His little mouth started to sing. " Head and shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes. Head and shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes. And eyes and ears and mouth and nose, head and shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes." The old man was delighted and hugged his little boy machine. The little boy smiled warmly and pointed at his perfect green heart. "Thank you Papa. I love you."
The toy maker was smiling as he awoke. Groggily he looked out the window as the new day's sun bathed the Eiffel tower in a golden light. He looked down at the unfinished little boy in front of him and he set to work.

This is the most supreme commentary on the Bush administration I have ever seen! and an excellent piece of art as well. I think you should make a whole army of insultbots for each culture, country, ethnic group.... I predict worldwide sales. Next: the What's a matter you?-bot. Take er easy. Ya ole homey.
