  • Goooood uke .... Falls before he is even touched.... Nage would not be able to that crap if uke was resisting 4 year old child... Go do salsa , u don't belong to martial art

  • @crostolli ... the style I'd practiced is definitely on the soft side for physical and Martial Applications.. though i don't agree that this approach is unworthy as u say... because it can be a benefit for people who already carry excessive hardness in there own mind & bodies... so this approach can really help HARD people to soften there Anger! and your need to be insulting toward a fellow Aikidoka to validate yourself is a tragic expression of Aikido principles!

  • thats more of a dance...

    imean wtf

  • Hmmm...still, I'd rather dance my way through life, than to be fighting against it! Aikido was created as a means to study and refine ones character....not as a proving ground for the ego!!!

  • Sublime aikido, you have incredible relaxation and it looks like you're pretty good at thinking on your feet too, or maybe just letting it happen. I was wondering would you mind telling me what the name/artist of the song you used at the begining of this video is? and if possible could you send it to me? if not a name and artist will do fine, thanks!

  • Sorry for the late response and thankyou for your comments. The music is by Abakus from the album That Much Closer to the Sun. I'd be happy to send it to u but am unsure how i'd go about it? It's a great album! i could also recommend some other similar music if you'd like? Kind regards...

  • There's room for all types and practices of Aikido; hard and soft.

From what i'm reading, everyone is slagging this sandan off. Why? He has no reason to be hard because none of his uke are attacking with intent.

Perhaps nage would adapt to an uke who was attacking with intent; to judge a sandan by 6 minutes 57 seconds of his life is pretty harsh.

Live and let live. If you're hard, be hard. If you're soft, be soft. Embrace your nature.

    Interesting video at least.

  • my cat can wipe the mats with both of them

  • soft ? rather totally withdrawn from reality, u will be smashed into the mats in any other dojo, or uke would simply be bewildered why should he so dramatically fall because of your dramatic artistic performance. The question is - can u defend yourself aganist someone who will not be so eager to fall down as easily as your uke ? we all know the answer - NOT. And that was not an insult , just a statement of a fact. U will make a very good rumba dancer, thats a comliment.

  • Beautiful Sid... Just beautiful.
