what the fuck is "mainstream mainstream"? how could bon iver's music possibly be ruined by becoming more popular? popularity itself does not equate to the degradation of music. when a musician's reason for creating music is overruled by their desire for money, or the desire to create it only for other people's pleasure the quality will suffer, not the amount of listeners. for any serious artist, more exposure does not infer a lackluster effort.

I'm with you OceanandSilence, the rest should get a f#cking grip, enjoy the music and shut up. I've heard this all before, YOU'RE the one that feels let down when someone gets popular/successful, because they (THE ARTIST) no longer makes you feel cool and special. Get a life.
