And another thing, that did look like water. I am not calling or trying to put anything on you as seeing these comments they are quite awful. But, the only mistake you made was not using the exact charger that the guy used in his video. You used instead a substitution which probably could've been fatal in this experiment. This could work, if only there is nothing you must add to it in order to get the electricity going.

i used this problem as my ip project but my teacher and classmates just laugh at me bec. they say it's impossible to charge an ipod using onion.... is it true..??

It is impossible.
If you want to make a functioning system, look at lemon batteries. I'm sure you could jet a small charge off of those.
