Quite frankly, I disagree with one detail. I have a space heater that I use overnight, and I enjoy it, as does my cat. I have a long, low Lasko that has thermal and tipover protection, so I feel that the risk is nominal compared to what you are pushing here. just use common sense with a heater, and we'll all be okay; if it's flammable, keep it away from the front.
