\To those of you who think he will become a dictator, you are blinded by hate and ignorance. Obviously you refuse to embrace the hope for peace that he has not guaranteed, but offered to us. We do not place him upon a pedestal or claim him to be a messiah. We simply listen to his words, look into his character and see a man who is true and honest; one who simply chooses to try, chooses to hope. This is who he is. This is who we need. They're afraid because people have made them that way. Preachers and politicians who worked for the big money have been confusing and lying to them. Many of them will see that they had nothing to fear... some never will. They are addicted to their fear and suspicion... and that kind of addict is not always curable.

We neither hail him as Jesus or place upon him the task of the savior/messiah. For many of us he reinforces our belief in those entities, as his story is only possible in a world where God exists; A God of benevolence; A God of enduring Hope.

Many of those who love him were like me, skeptical at first, not wanting to jump on any first black president band wagon. What it took was for us to listen and open our hearts to the possibility and prospect of change, and maybe not so much the promise. For indeed the man has made know guaruntees. Simply, he has made a pledge to try, to the greatest of hi ability to unite a nation that has long been divided by race religion andpolitical ideology. It is his optimism that inspires us to believe.

It should go without saying that because of the constitutional foundation, rule of law and ofetn underestimated character of the American people, a dictatorship is simply not a plausible or probable outcome of the Obama presidency. I have found that the people spouting that Castro crap are those who simply disagree with his politics. If he were somebody whose policies they believed in they wouldnt behave all threatend at the fact that the president is beloved by many.

First of all you dont really know what Lincoln would have wanted. He died 150 years ago. 2nd you arnt even giving Obama a chance to prove himself. At least give 1 year to accomplish something. Although I didnt vote for Bush I hoped he would lead the country in the right direction. Being the president is a very hard, stressful job.
