  • The moose in this video probably walk to within 35 feet of me.

  • Moose are very shy and can't see too well. But in spite of al that this is a very good video of what looks like a calf.

  • I think this moose was either one or maybe two years old. did you see my other mooose video I took in 2007 of the moose walking across the road in front of us?

  • @laurampink go to Moosehead lake. My mom never saw a moose even though we go there every summer, and 2 years ago moved to maine. It was our first time visiting Moosehead and we saw 2 meese!! xD lol (they call it Moosehead Lake because that is what the lake is shaped like, we are going to have a campground there someday.)

  • @bigdavenh we live in Southwest Harbor Maine and decided to visit MooseHead lake today. On the way, we saw a mom moose with her baby. :3 this was the first time my mom had seen one, and she is like 42. xD (I mean, we have seen some at preserves but not wild moose.)

  • I live in Maine and NEVER get to see any moose. They hide well.

  • Not sure about the winter months. I have heard that sometime in Sept. too they are active. But my wife and I go now every year for memorial day weekend. We have always seeen at least 10 different moose. This past year we thought we would try the moosehead lake area in maine first. we saw a couple of moose but they ran off into the wooods right away. The moose along moose alley don't seem to mind you standing there taking photos. I think they may even smile for the cameras. LOL

  • Beautiful! How close were you?

  • actually this was taken right in the middle of what is called moose alley. Which is along rt3 east of where it meets rt. 145 and lake Francis, to the three connecticut lakes. We have had our best luck between lake Francis and the second connecticut lake. I don't think we have ever seen any moose north of the second lake. Memorial day weekend is the best time to see moose there. It is said if you can't see a moose then your not loooking hard enough their everywhere, we saw at least 14 last year.

  • Good video, I really like the lighting and the mooose's reflection. 5 Stars.
