I know this is not much of a challenge to put marksman againist mix of swadian troops but i really couldnt find a lord with more than 12 knights and 19 man at arms at the moment (already defeated king harlaus before this video but it wasnt a very nice video because he lost very quickly due to his mistake of sending all his horseman right when the round started). This video shows that marksmans seperated widely on hill is no joke. You can use bow at everywhere and lvl it to a certain point, after that it will be a piece of cake to train archers and then marksmans from skirmishers in training grounds. When you attempt to take a castle i suggest pulling your marksman to a narrow angle so it sees only few stations and the entrance of castle, the defender archers will walk to the ladders to hit you and will make themselves extremely easy to hit. When you siege with vaegir marksmans DO NOT charge them at enemy when they are out of arrows because they simply get slaughtered by few infantry holding the front, retreat and siege again for refill instead.
I know this wasnt a very interesting video but ill try to make a better one later. Enjoy
I think horseman and archers both level on horse archery practice at training ground but i am not so sure... i haven't been playing the singleplayer for some time and my mind is quite busy these months. Good luck and have a nice time.

Then get few good mercanery horseman and fight with small groups of weak bandits (while you have your recruits come from behind in battle). You should get archery and lvl it nicely if you want to be able to train archers really fast. You get them to training ground and hit the archery targets. They lvl pretty fast on distant targets. If you want to be able to train horsemen fast, you should have atleast some riding skill. Get them to horseback practice at training ground and theyll level nicely.

First i would like to apologize for my late answer TheSuperieur. Training archers and horseman is quite easy. Hard thing is training the infantry... First get a companion whos intelligent and focus on his training skill as he lvls up (gear him to survive for a good time and dont throw him on front - you can set who will go first into battle at party window's companion list - so he can level up at every battle and survive enough to do that). Continues at other post...

Because i spread the archers very wide, the infantry and especially horseman cant protect themselves with their shields and when they finally arrive at the hill they climb it just so the archers can aim easier.

I think swadian crossbowmen gave me more trouble than the knights and men at arms. They shouldve brought more.
