Are you serious!? omg! Poor Charlie!
He must have ate a lot of "licorice-shoes" to get a sugar shock! Well, Charlie was always a perfectionist, and he always wanted his movies to be PERFECT.. Maybe he shouldn't have been so strict about he's movies, for deam, sure he sacrificed A LOT!

He did sacrifice a lot. In Gold Rush, were he plays a lone prospector, he makes a meal of his shoelaces (made of licorice), he kept shooting the scene over and over because he wasn't happy with the way it turned out. Well he ended up going to the hospital with sugar shock because they did the scene so many times.

I know, It must have hurt. I think it did too.
You now, I think Chaplin sacrificed and offer alot for his movies and his shorts.. He had some harms and problems with his body and got sometimes hurt by acting.
