Dancing with Long Beach: The Pike

Dancing with Long Beach is a year long series of seemingly spontaneous site-specific monthly dance demonstrations in public spaces throughout the city of Long Beach to engage new audiences and to invite them to calendared dance performances in the city. Our goal is to catalyze our city with the art and diversity of dance - to expose, to educate, and to create new audiences for dance. This is a collaborative project of the Catalyst Network of Communities and DatuganDanceTheatre in partnership with Trade&Row, LongBeachFlagShop.com, Solshock Publicity, and Domino Affect Dance Company. This site-specific dance performance was done at The Pike in downtown Long Beach by ArchiTexture Dance Company on March 12, 2011.
