They say these times are bereft of heroism. But hearken all. Witness here the valour of UCPD Officer Kasiske (#35), as he rids the world of the menace of a few helium balloons. Why, you ask? Because of the impending threat that these balloons may have been utilized for the travesty of transporting a little REAL sustenance (rather than the stale Air Force rations that Boss Hogg U. has been providing) to the tree-sitters in the UC Berkeley Memorial Oak Grove. The citizens of Berkeley and the world can now rest easy, knowing that the noble Ofc. Kasiske is ready to risk life and limb to ensure that tree warriors go a little more malnourished. Because if they didn't, the almighty University of California (the aforementioned Boss Hogg U.) would be prevented in this instance from treating Berkeley and the world as its concubine,in which case, who knows what horrors would befall us?

Actually, Dana, I'm a born and raised Berkeleyan as well as a Cal student, and I can tell you the vast majority of the community is sick of these protesters and wish they'd pack up and go back to Canada, or wherever they're from. Also, after seeing the way they treat the police we realize that it is they, not the cops, who are elitist, rude, and angry. Now why don't you go bean yourself for being so wrong about my being a cop, you stupid, irrelevant, Canadian (which is an insult by itself) fuck.

What do you expect, when you are there for no other purpose than to deny the tree-sitters access to any other food besides lemon Clif bars? This guy would be a douche regardless of his uniform. You can tell that it is just the way his personality is designed. At the same time, most modern protesters are so self-indulgent, issue grabbing, yet pointless egalitarians.

The moral of this story is that everyone has an opinion. It's really only the craziest of the crazy that feel that on a lovely day,(instead of enjoying the day)standing on the side of the road and shouting your opinion at oncoming traffic is the best way to be heard.
