@omgpwnz1 "Eventually". Upon this event, 1155 chips will be a thing of the past in the Intel catalog.

@BritaniaRuleAgain first up the 2700K is likely to be the last CPU Intel dose for the 1155 series, secondly DDR4 is around the corner due out next year so that ends the new 2011 platforms. what AMD has done is brought out an am3+ platform meaning that when an AM4 platform is made all of the the newer better CPU will slot right into AM3+ thus eventually AM3+ will be better then the 1155 series

@cbremer83 Such a sad day for the tech world when Bulldozer hit. Now nothing will compete against Intel, and they well shortly divert their focuses to the mobile market.
-
@BritaniaRuleAgain Well, I did post that five months ago, well before Bulldozer hit. But, it was pretty bad. Unlike SB, these where soft launched. No fan fair, no bundle deals at work. Nothing. We didn't even know they went on sale till they arrived a couple days before hand. I think AMD knew they had a turkey.

@Phenomental1ty LGA2011 has existed for awhile now, it was used for Intel Xeon CPUs until X79 was announced.

1366 doesn't have eight core processors either, OMFG. This video is a fail, delete it.

@cbremer83 Now there's a 2700K, and Bulldozer has become Faildozer. Those AMD octo-core, 125W Zambezi chips are slower than Intel's quad-core, 95W 2600's.
