http://www.ttEDGE.com Basic Level Video (B1). The forehand block / counterhit is one of building blocks of the modern table tennis game. This video uses ultra slow motion footage to show which parts need to move in which order to make this a shot you can rely on.

  • Thank you for the vidz, i learned a lot, i'm a player but dreamed to be pro,i'm 25.. is it late to train for that? LOL, i would like to ask if what is your tips in using a donic baracuda rubber on an all wood blade?

  • @Peachb0x. I haven't tried Baracuda myself so I can't offer too much help. However I think it is one of the more recent Tensors which have firmer sponge and a better top sheet. It's never too late to improve your game.

  • @tabletennisedge wow thank you,i appreciate your reply, right now it's like i want to go there in your place and be trained by you.. :)

  • @Peachb0x That's why we created the website!

  • this film is very helpful, thanks! ;D

  • i always like how awkward the hand with out the racket looks...

  • @MrTralphT Hi MrTralphT. I wouldn't say the wrist is AS important for counterhitting as it is in other shots. What is important though is that it is relaxed as this will help you make the small adjustments needed to deal with the opponent's spin.
