This video is an exclusive coverage of Laura Diaz which tells the story of brave female officers who face mortal dangers everyday. The interviews happened inside the maximum prison located in the sweltering desert of the Imperial Valley, 180 feet below sea level. This prison housed inmates way above capacity. It is said that there are 4000 inmates jammed in a place only designed for 2000 which causes extra tension within these walls. On August 18, 2005, a riot ended when an inmate took a fatal bullet fired by an officer.
Laura Diaz had a prison tour but before entering the hall and drastic security measures were taken. She wore a stab proof vest. Prisoners inside are murderers, rapists and people who committed robbery. According to statistics there are 20,000 correction officers and less than one fourth are women. Laura Diaz was given a privilege to interview an inmate provided that the prisoner will be inside a cage. His name is Brian Seabourn, he has been in and out of jail since he was 12 years old. He was convicted of murder.

A female correction officer was featured while on her way home. She covered her uniform, went home as a normal mother of two. Male correction officers now accept women in their league and more and more people are praising women for being a calming influence in a volatile environment
