  • By BPA, are you referring to Bisphenol A? Nasty stuff. Your vid was great, as we all have come to expect.

  • @theymusthatetesla Bisphenol A - yes, that's the stuff - the hormone disrupting/mimicking agent used as a stiffening agent in plastics.

Thanks for the kind comment :o)

  • Hey mate. Great vid! Ive just recieved my bcb crusader cookset and have yet to use it. I was just wondering if u noticed any of the black non-stick coating came off in the pot u boiled the water in? Ive heared a couple of cases of this happening.

  • @MrNightowl8410 Thanks - not noticed any issues yet - all the coatings seem to be intact.

  • There is a small company in the US...that have made a metal lid w/strainer built in. look for "CanteenCorner" on you tube.....Cheers from Canada!!

  • @clinmo Thanks for the tip, I'll look them up

  • For about the same price as the hexi you have there you can get the issue stuff it burns longer and hotter so you need less :)

  • Great video, Rick! I love your videos and I enjoy watching them. Haha, this was really funny: 8:36 FAIL! Thanks for sharing, mate.

  • yeah my bcb lid is melted from using my canteen cup on open fires but i still use the lid and i dont give a fuck about BPA because of Fukishima and dont listen to mr milka he needs to learn how to do open fires lol

  • Try a Trangia. All metal and tried and tested. Trust me. Have a gas attachment with the meths burner for backup.

  • I do like the concept of your vids, especially as most ppl just copy others and put their own spin on it

  • Good Video.

  • @sparcky488

You also get much better direction of your sparks doing it this way I find?

    Good suggestion Sparcky488

  • Maybe it is worth buying the metal lid for this!?

    :)

    Great video again Rick!

  • awesome video, its brilliant to see so many people getting into survival.. small tip, from personal experience, with the fire steel, i find it much easier to keep the scraper in the same place and move the steel rod back towards you rather than striking it.. might just be personal preference though.. lol :)

  • The great thing about cooking with haxamine is when your bored it's also entertainment, we call it Hexi HD TV lol!
