@ShadowOfDelbi the best shoes are no shoes, but don't start on abrasive surfaces and be careful about doing cat climbs and crane landings
-
David belle invented parkour tho!

Y'all can be my new best friends ! Haha (:

@Obsidian1138 What is your take for minimalist shoes for parkour?
-
@ShadowOfDelbi try a pair of Vibram Five Fingers. it's like running bare foot but without tearing up your feet
-
What shoes would you guys recommend? something would good overall grip would be best.

Would bare feet be better for Parkour than shoes? Which would give you better grip?
ShadowOfDelbi 1 month ago
@ShadowOfDelbi Bare feet would probably give you the best grip of all. The only consideration would be rough surfaces.

do u guys get a lot of blisters from doing this?and do u ever wear gloves?
jake800man 4 months ago
@jake800man After a while, you develop callouses on your hands, so blisters almost never happen. Gloves are no good for parkour as you really need to be able to grip surfaces properly. I tried gloves for a while back in 2005, and they were significantly worse than no gloves at all.

Can anyone do parkour if they really tried to? I mean, does it take a certain amount of talent? Or is it a skill mastered in time?
peteremarin 5 months ago
@peteremarin Yes, anyone can do parkour. In you're new to it, start off with relatively simple movements and progress gradually over time. Nobody is instantly good at parkour. Everything has to be practiced and slowly improved upon. It's worth finding a group in your area who can help to get you started.
