@granako such a wonderful picture of the proud couple at the beginning. are they your folks?.....they remind me of mine.....yes, truly the greatest generation. shame on me, an old hippie. we took all they did for us and all they gave us, for granted......who were we.... the smug ones, that never paid any dues, the ones that just sat back and criticized while they paid the bills........., to be putting them down all those years.........my generation owes their generation a huge,huge apology..

Yes , I remember Vera Lynn during the war years . We had a young 16yr old nanny , 1942/3 with a very pretty voice who used to sing all these songs , so beautifully . Listening again brings such nostalgia , brings a lump in my throat and tears to my eyes . Thank You !!!

@TheSuzy200 She wasn't in her 90s when it was originally released, she released it in the 1940s. She is in her 90s now and last year her Greatest Hits album got to number 1 in the album charts.
