From what I've read, it's not everything they cut from the original FFIV that will be in this remake. And about IV being the most famous FF might be stretching it a bit, I think FFVII is the most famous one (at least the most popluar one).
Oh, and I bet it's just a typo, but FFIV was released as FFII, not 12, in US. :)

really ff4 )ff12 in us) was the starting point of all major bests of the best and which helped square and rpg copycats to make rpgs afterwards, the famous ff of all is this game, and... only 1/4 of the whole story made it for the snes and gba(which had more story) but the ds.....will UNLEASHE the rest 70% that was missing from the script... i just cant wait
