  • June this is the very first time I have seen this. It's fantastic! & seeing Charlie boy brought a tear to my eyes. I'm so blessed to have become owned by a part of such a wonderful breed. Lisa xxxxx

  • I know i made it but just rewatched and it brought a tear to my eye too..infact quite a few..bless his heart R I P Charlie. She only had him 4 months when we did this event and also to think 2 of these Newfs had bloat this year too but thankfully pulled through..not been a great year for our fur bear babies..XXX

  • @buffyabcj Which puppy was Charlie and what happened? I lost my 1st Newfie in July. I will never forget his love. I had noticed for some time he had looked bloated, mentioned it to his vet and vet said he was just fat. I now have my second Newf puppy, he's now 3 months. But I want to be more aware of such things. Could you tell me about this 'bloat'? And, btw, I love this vid :-) Sent it to my daughter. Great idea. They are like having a rock star on a leash LOL

  • Hi, Charlie was my friends brown & white Newf, he died of a brain Hemorrhage. Bloat is like cot death, no-one knows why it happens but your baby couldn't have had bloat for weeks, once they bloat you have to act fast and have less than an hour to get them medical assistance or you lose them. So sorry to hear of your lose :-((

  • Thank You, it was at Millbrook garden centre, Gravesend, Kent. Will prob do again this year, so if your not too far come along..it's great fun! X

  • @Lilbastardtooo Get another one. I've been there and know how you feel and it may sound crazy but get another one. I gave this advice to a friend a few years back. He was so distressed at losing his dog he swore he would never get another one. Two months later he did. Hope you feel better.

  • Newfy, cocker spaniel, bichon frise or bastard mutt, a dogs love is unlike anything I have ever known.

  • @Lilbastardtooo I'm so sorry hon. I could tell you were crying while writing this. I really feel for you. I know well that terrible empty feeling you have loosing one who is so precious to you. Thank you for taking the time after your great loss to fill me in on more info. I wish I could offer more comforting words. I know for me, life without my Cody is still raw. He was that once in a lifetime companion.

  • @JaniceParton Just lost my beautiful big girl from what sounds like a similar condition. The bloat could be from fluid retained in the lungs and liver from DCM. Which is a fatal heart condition. It came on rather quick and before you know it she was gone. In the last moments she had real trouble breathing and could only do so by sitting up. If she tried to lay down the grunted on every breathe. It breaks my heart that she suffered. We had just got back from the vet...running out of space

  • this video always cheers me up

  • this is my favorite video!! I love it :) Brings me so much joy. Thank you! - from a proud newfie owner.
