The Test Kitchen with Diana Jo Rossano, Ph.D. demonstrates how you can make a spaghetti sauce that has Vegetables in the Spaghetti Sauce? Yes, now that's healthy.

Vegetable Spaghetti Sauce with Organic Meatballs, Organic Meatloaf. Don't tell your children to eat their veggies, tell them to eat their spaghetti! This recipe wasn't handed down by Dr. Rossano's Italian grandmother, but it tastes delicious. But, please don't tell anyone that it's healthy because they won't guess.

My grandmother would slave over the kitchen making the tomatoes cook for hours upon hours because she wanted the tomatoes to become sweet. Well that same process has been cut down by using sweet vegetables to make the sauce sweet.

I use carrots, onions and garlic in the oven for about an hour to have that great taste. No stove top constant stirring. The oven does all the work for a great homemade spaghetti sauce that will amaze family and friends.

This sauce is more economical than buying pre-made spaghetti sauce. Save money when you make your own spaghetti sauce recipe. Search Youtube for Test Kitchen to find my channel.

  • I will not drink out of a plastic bottle. Plastic will leech into the water. Your body identifies the plastic as a fake estrogen. Estrogen makes farm animals get fat, and we who eat the meat get fat, get hormonal imbalance, hot flashes, night sweats, PMS, painful periods, fibrocystic breast, prostate inflammation and of course heart disease. Not safe. Drink water from a glass bottle. S. Pelegrino or Perrier are my favorites when I go out. (I re-use the bottles) A filter under the sink at home.
